The Director

My name is Lindsay Reed and I am the director of Our Secret Garden Preschool. Prior to becoming the director at Our Secret Garden Preschool, I have spent most of my career in childcare. Knowledge Beginnings was my home for fifteen years. It was there that I began my work as a Prekindergarten teacher, then a Kindergarten teacher/Program Leader. Not only do I have experience in the classroom, but I have also taken on administrative opportunities during my career at Knowledge Beginnings and beyond.

My Story

Welcome to Our Secret Garden Preschool! I’m so happy to be part of this wonderful school community and to have the opportunity to create a place where children can learn, grow, explore, and feel truly at home.
I was born and raised in Methuen, Massachusetts, and I have always had a passion for working with children. I am the oldest of two children and grew up with my younger brother, which taught me from an early age the importance of patience, responsibility, and being a positive role model.

My love for early childhood education led me to Plymouth State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Studies, along with my Massachusetts teaching licensure for Prekindergarten through Grade Two. I have spent many years working in early childhood education and have had the privilege of watching children discover their strengths, develop confidence, and build a love of learning. Those experiences have shaped my belief that the early years are incredibly important and that every child deserves to be seen, valued, encouraged, and celebrated for who they are.

As an educator and now the director Our Secret Garden Preschool, I believe that a strong school is built on relationships. I value creating meaningful relationships with families, supporting teachers, and providing children with a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they can learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences.

Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. My home is filled with my two children, Olivia and Logan, my husband, Chris, and our dog, Cosmo. My family and I often travel to Mashpee, MA on Cape Cod to visit my in-laws. When I’m not at school, I love walking, baking and spending time making memories with my family and friends.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of Our Secret Garden Preschool. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, connect, and make a difference in the lives of children and their families. I look forward to getting to know each child and family who become part of Our Secret Garden Preschool and helping make their experience here a truly special one.
